Veterinary Assistant
Alex Ammons
Alex has been dedicated to veterinary medicine since graduating high school in 2022, beginning her career as a Rescue Technician at an emergency hospital in Denton County. Since then, she has worked as a receptionist, veterinary assistant, technician, and Practice Manager before returning to emergency medicine to continue expanding her knowledge and skills. She currently works as an Emergency Veterinary Assistant and serves as one of the hospital’s Culture Ambassadors.
Much of Alex’s passion for veterinary medicine is inspired by her childhood dog, Zsa-Zsa, who passed away from a disease that was not caught in time. That experience continues to motivate her to learn, advocate for her patients, and help pets and their families when they need it most. Her lifelong love of animals also led her to FFA, where she served as an officer and showed rabbits at the state level.
Outside of work, Alex shares her home with six cats and a royal python. She is also an avid writer and gamer who loves spending time with friends and exploring new places throughout the DFW Metroplex. Whether caring for patients or chasing her next adventure, Alex brings curiosity, compassion, and a genuine love for animals into everything she does.
