Emergency

Courtney Hawthorne, DVM

Dr. Courtney Hawthorne is passionate about cardiovascular emergencies, surgery, and trauma medicine. She's particularly interested in helping her clients navigate the sometimes difficult and emotional decisions associated with emergency medicine to provide the best patient outcomes.

After receiving her undergraduate degree in biology from Baylor University, Dr. Hawthorne received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduating in 2019, she completed a rotating internship at Michigan State University, followed by a surgical internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas. After completing her surgical internship, Dr. Hawthorne pursued her interest in emergency and critical care, working with several specialty hospitals throughout the country while traveling as a relief veterinarian.

When Dr. Hawthorne isn’t treating her patients, she can be found exploring Texas' state parks, relaxing with family, and spoiling her dog. She loves traveling and trying new experiences. She's excited to be part of this new community and looks forward to continually challenging herself to be a stronger clinician!
